Consumer Co-operatives play an important role in providing consumer goods, medicines, stationary items etc via its various retail outlets (like super markets, neethi stores etc ) at subsidized rates to the consumers and help them from the exploitation of the private retailers. In addition to this they also provide essential food items at very subsidized rates for the extremely poor and downtrodden to shield them from soaring price level. The outlay is provided for the following activities.

1. Development of Consumer Co-operatives in Urban & Rural Area
2. It is envisaged to assist Primary co-operative societies and consumerfed in the form of share capital, loan and subsidy to run Neethi stores/Neethi medical stores under the scheme during 2018-19
3. Assistance in the form of share, loan and subsidy to co-operatives for modernization. (View Rules)
